The Algerian Living Lab is being developed in the Bousfer region of Oran, a forested area located near the southern Mediterranean coast. Its main sustainability objective is to boost agricultural production while reducing chemical inputs and mitigating the risk of forest fires caused by accumulated vine pruning residues.A network of 20 farms will be coordinated by Belayachi Mourad, an agricultural partner from the CWIF-Oran committee. The lighthouse farm will be a vineyard growing table grapes on stony soils exposed to sea spray, located 120 metres above sea level.
